Unethical Farms and Agents!!

Through out the history of our industry, the mare owner had few options in the way of investigating the ethics of farms and bloodstock agents.  Traditional methods relied on word of mouth or references provided by the farm or agent.  The results are often disastrous for newcomers, leading to an eventual withdrawal from the industry altogether.

The American Thoroughbred Review is proud to offer breeders a new tool in the fight against unethical farms and agents.  The Farm/Agent Complaint Database (FACD) allows mare owners to check for prior complaints against a farm or agent, and also provides an avenue of recourse should they become a victim of unethical practices.  Farms and agents with a pattern of unscrupulous dealings will now be held accountable, preventing additional victims in the future.

If you've been the victim of unethical practices and would like to help other breeders avoid the same fate, take a moment to look over the FACD Complaint FormBe sure to read the disclaimers at the end of the form.  Should you decide to file a complaint with us, print and complete the FACD Complaint Form and fax it to (253) 498-9180.

FACD complaints cannot be filed by farms or agents. Unfortunately, we cannot accept FACD Complaints through the mail.

If you're interested in investigating a prospective farm or agent, please email us (click here) and we'll let you know if complaints have been filed.
